Industrial cardboard shredding machine exported to Malaysia
Industrial cardboard shredding machine was exactly what a packaging company in Penang, Malaysia was looking for when they reached out to us in March 2025.
As a provider of eco-friendly packaging solutions to e-commerce and manufacturing clients, the company faced increasing volumes of used corrugated boxes. They needed an efficient solution to convert this waste into recyclable void-fill materials for daily operations.
Key concerns from the customer
During the consultation process, the customer expressed several specific concerns regarding model selection, functionality, and operational efficiency:

1. Can the machine meet their daily output requirements?
Their plant needed to process approximately 600 kg of corrugated cardboard daily. We recommended the SL-425 model, which is specifically designed to handle 5–7 layer corrugated board and can process thicknesses equivalent to 20–70 sheets of A4 70g paper efficiently.
2. Is the shredded output suitable for packaging filler?
The customer wanted the shredded material to serve as eco-friendly void-fill for shipping boxes. The SL-425 machine offers a 5×100 mm strip shredding option (or 5 mm bars), ideal for producing cushion-like cardboard strips used in protective packaging.
3. Is the machine compatible with their factory’s power supply?
Their facility uses industrial power (380V), which fits perfectly with the SL-425’s 2.2 kW motor and 380V, 50Hz voltage specification, ensuring stable performance even under continuous heavy-duty operation.

4. Is the machine quiet enough for an open workshop environment?
The customer’s packaging line is in an open workshop, so noise levels were a concern. We reassured them that the SL-425 operates at only 60 dB, meeting their environmental and workplace comfort standards.
5. Can the machine be easily delivered and installed?
Worried about installation space, the customer requested detailed packaging dimensions. We provided full specifications — 630×830×1260 mm (L×W×H) — and offered layout suggestions for optimal placement in their facility.
Order process and feedback
After comparing the SL-325 and SL-425, the customer chose the SL-425 industrial cardboard shredding machine due to its higher power and broader shredding capacity. We provided shredding demo videos, packaging photos, a user manual, and remote setup support.
The machine was shipped in late April, cleared customs smoothly, and was installed and operational by mid-May. The customer reported excellent performance, with consistent shredding results that significantly improved packaging speed and reduced warehouse congestion.

“We initially thought this type of industrial equipment would be complex to operate, but it turned out to be easy to install and surprisingly efficient. Now, shredded cardboard has become a valuable part of our packaging process.”
